Visit Manchester gathers information from tourism businesses regularly to enable us to monitor current trends and any problems that the tourism industry is facing at any one time.

During January to June 2009 the frequency of the How’s Business survey was increased to monthly and re-named the Credit Crunch Survey during this time.  This was to enable Visit Manchester and other stakeholders to react to difficulties faced by businesses in the current economic climate sooner and to monitor this more closely.   The survey then reverted back to quarterly for the July-September 2009 quarter.
