Visit Manchester works closely with VisitBritain and England’s Northwest to attract journalists to the city in order to secure positive media coverage about Manchester as a leisure, learning and business destination.
We provide individually tailored itineraries for each journalist so they can explore the aspect the city most relevant to their readers, listeners or viewers. These are compiled in co-operation with our members, who benefit from editorial coverage about their product as part of a Manchester feature.
In 2007, Visit Manchester-organised press visits generated over £970,000 worth of positive media coverage for the city with a circulation of over 15 million.
Visit Manchester also promotes the work of the tourism industry in Manchester to the local, regional and national media.
