The tourism industry contributes a great deal to the success of Greater Manchester. For it to be sustainable we must ensure the long-term needs of communities, visitors, the tourism industry and the environment are taken into account.

A Sustainable Tourism Action Plan is being developed in order to provide a framework within which Visit Manchester and partners can work together to achieve the sustainable development and management of tourism across Greater Manchester.
