Manchester Live offers MICE buyers the ultimate way to beat the recession – a free event worth £10k

25th January 2010

Buyers attending Manchester Live - Visit Manchester’s recession-busting showcase of Manchester’s business tourism product - will have the chance to win a free event for 200 people thanks to the team at the Ramada Manchester Piccadilly.

The prize, one of several up for grabs on the night, includes room hire of the Ramada’s International Suite, refreshments and a two-course lunch for 200 people. Technical facilities such as LCD projector/screen and a PA system are also included.

Manchester Live, which will take place on Wednesday 24th February at The Roof Gardens on Kensington High Street, is timed to coincide with International Confex – the UK’s leading event for the conference industry.

Paul Simpson, managing director of Visit Manchester, said: “Manchester Live was always going to be an industry leading destination showcase, but the Ramada’s offer of a free event for 200 people is unparalleled.

“When we announced that Russell Watson was signed-up to perform a live set we saw registrations go through the roof – and those that are lucky enough to be on the guest list are now in with a chance of winning some amazing prizes. I think it’s safe to say that Manchester Live will be the event to attend during this year’s Confex.”

Stephen Beech, general manager of Ramada Manchester Piccadilly, said: “We’re delighted to support Manchester Live with this prize. Our International Suite is, we believe, a great asset to the city’s conference portfolio and we’re looking forward to working closely with Visit Manchester to generate business for the city.”
